- Translating the German Country Strategy to a commercial strategy for both rental and sales, including the development of commercial policies and plans - within the context of the Group Commercial Strategy

- Leading the Account Managers and Key Account Managers and ensures optimum collaboration with (rental) sales office/ operations by the field staff in Germany and the RIR team in the headquarter

- Development of the branding of the company in Germany in respect to guidelines made up by the Group Marketing Manager and through the local Marketing team

- Collecting, analysing and anticipating the needs of customers and market developments

- Developing and managing the commercial rental strategy, the policy and (year) plans and ensuring the effective maintenance and management of existing customer relationships and the acquisition of new customers effectively in a structured way on the basis of this

- Developing the rental team as a manager, ensuring liaison and providing structured guidance towards achievement sales targets (KPI's), both, quantitative and qualitative

- Monitoring the progress of the sales pipeline and the audit quality, and discussing this periodically with the rental team

- Encouraging cross-selling with the goal of increasing the joint result

- Close collaboration with the Marketing department in order to reach agreement on necessary marketing tools and activities in order to promote rental

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential customers

- Own Account Management/ contacts with major national customers

- Developing large contracts and negotiating the final form and content; developing national to international accounts and promote international business

- Monitoring the back-office support for commerce and leading the team of Account Managers (functional and hierarchical)

- Representing the organisation at major events for and with customers (football, golf, trade fairs, etc)
