  • Responsible for the delivery of Technology projects or responsible for managing a sub project stream for larger Programs, supporting the programme manager
  • Take ownership for delivery and implementation of Technology change projects by being the responsible person for the strategic projects and being accountable to the Portfolio Lead for project delivery
  • Ensuring a best in class international Barclaycard delivery
  • Maintain relationships with external and internal decision makers and stakeholders and extend presence within stakeholder groups
  • Project Delivery operating in accordance with the requirements of the Change Governance Framework
  • Manage the interdependencies, risks and issues of a project on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure that the workstream/projects produce the required deliverables, to the required standard of quality and within the specified time and cost, producing a result that achieves the benefits defined in the respective business case
  • Apply Project Management standards and comply with relevant procedures
  • Delivery of major change projects, work streams or portfolios of smaller projects, understanding the dependencies and synergies between different activities
  • Ensuring that projects are aligned to, and deliver against, the programme objectives and business strategy
  • Planning and monitoring the project progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
  • Managing the project budget, monitoring the expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the Projects progress
  • Ensuring projects are fully resourced to meet their project objectives within time, cost and quality constraints
  • Ensuring engagement of business partners and stakeholders during entire implementation process
  • Ensuring the delivery of new services and business capability from the projects is to appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the Project Plan
  • Quality Assurance and overall integrity of the projects
  • Managing third party contributions to the projects
  • Communication with programme and project stakeholders, including Programme Manager, Executive Committees, Project Steering Groups etc as required
  • Managing dependencies and interfaces between projects and programme work streams
  • Management of risks and issues affecting the work stream/portfolio of projects delivery
  • Reporting work stream/project portfolio progress at regular intervals as appropriate
