Data Privacy Officer

- Advise on global best practices in the management and retention of personal information for the whole group and each legal entity

- Educates and coordinates operational staff in each functional area on the requirements of data privacy

- Manages federated structure for areas required to develop internal controls designed to limit data privacy risks

- Work closely with internal and external legal counsel on data protection interpretation:

Knowledge of the EU GDPR requirements as written and keep pace with case law as established

Aware of and explores other countries requirements as they evolve over time

- Advise the Chief Risk and Marketing Officers of the group and each of its affiliates regarding compliance trends as regulations evolve

Recommend necessary practices on the treatment of data

- Coordinates with various first line responsible for the appropriate implementation of data privacy rules and regulations to achieve compliance across group's offices

Manage the coordination to build processes that include 'privacy by design' to embed the treatment and protection of data within daily processes

Train marketing, sales and data managers on data privacy rules and regulations

- Responsible for monitoring various privacy rules globally

Maintains policy statements in all countries consistent with rules

Maintains and manages the receipt of data privacy requests under countries rules

- Establishes and manages the process by which individuals can seek removal of their personal data or data by which the group has maintained and stored

- Reports to Chief Risk Officer
